Reception: Thursday, 07.10 from 4pm-6pm
The Sea Ranch Lodge

In celebration of The Sea Ranch's 60th anniversary and in conjunction with The Gualala Arts Center 'The Sea Ranch at 60: Still Making Waves' exhibition, The Sea Ranch Lodge proudly presents a special artist exhibition honoring the community’s enduring spirit and commitment to environmental harmony and innovative design. This landmark showcase brings together the evocative works of Arun Patel, Don Jacobs FAIA, Arthur Drooker, and Keith Wilson—four artists whose practices deeply resonate with the values that define The Sea Ranch. Through photography and design, the exhibition explores the interplay between nature and human intention, highlighting how art can reflect and preserve a sense of place. Each artist offers a unique perspective: Arun Patel captures the elemental beauty of the Sonoma coast through minimalist interpretations of form and the land; Don Jacobs FAIA explores the architectural language of Sea Ranch and echoes its iconic design ethos; Arthur Drooker’s photography documents the quiet moments of community life, revealing the deep connections between people and landscape; and Keith Wilson, whose graduate thesis was advised by Charles Moore, one of Sea Ranch’s original architects. Together, their work invites reflection on six decades of thoughtful living on the land—and an inspired look forward.
